01.29.24 Whale Counts

Another beautiful day out on the water! Just perfect weather and ocean conditions, San Diego is back to its usual self. These glassy conditions gave us great viewing opportunities and we were fortunate enough to see three Gray Whales in the area! these massive adult Whales were heading west, which was slightly uncommon for them as they are usually moving either south or north but we got some amazing looks at them, as they showed off their tail flukes multiple times and went on rather short dives. We then made our way far out west seeing some bird activity going on and were rewarded with a pod of a few hundred Common Dolphin. These super playful dolphin swam with the boat, were feeding and we got to see some babies in the pod as well. a picturesque day of whale watching!
