04.10.25 Whale Counts

A truly spectacular day on the water with a set of FOUR Gray Whales! we were able to locate these animals on our morning trip and got some great looks, but the real show was in the afternoon when one of these whales breached 4 times for us (that is when they jump out of the water). Typically this is a rare occurrence for any of our whale species because it takes a lot of energy for them to do so, and our Gray whales are trying to conserve energy on their migration. Not this one though! this full grown adult Gray whale jumped totally out of the water and splashed down for an amazing sight.
