01.06.25 Whale Counts
Today was an amazing day out on the water, the water was glassy and the sun was out. We caught up with a Gray whale on our morning trip and got amazing looks and then we caught up with about 50 Common Dolphin to end the trip. We did not see a whale on the second trip but it was still sunny and glassy… we did get to catch up with a very large pod of Common Dolphin with numbers exceeding 700!

For January, it was an exceptionally warm and sunny day. We soon came across a Gray whale which we followed for a while. It delighted the guests with clear, heart-shaped blows and showing it’s tail flukes as it dove. Then Captain Ozzy found a pod of about 25 Common dolphins, They swam around the boat and surfed in the wake. Lovely day to be on the water.
