01.20.25 Whale Counts

Another beautiful day on the water, and even more amazing wildlife to see! For the first trip we encountered a pair of southbound Gray Whales not too far from the Mission Bay Jetty (one of the whales was pregnant), followed by around 500 Short-beaked Common Dolphin, and a surprise visit from an adult Mola-Mola (Ocean Sunfish)! For the second we saw around 300 Short-beaked Common Dolphin followed by another pair of southbound Gray Whales.
