04.11.24 Whale Counts

A foggy start to todays trip, yet we were undeterred and it paid off big time! Almost immediately after leaving Mission Bay we got to hang out with around 50 Common Dolphin. Afterwards we made it around 8 miles off shore and encountered the second largest animal on planet earth the Fin Whale. We got some great looks at this monstrous animal, before heading back and getting to encounter another 100 Common Dolphin, and our friends the Pacific White Sided Dolphin. What an amazing trip!
