08.12.24 Whale Counts

Today was a picture perfect day with sunshine and calm, glassy seas. To add to our excitement the Pacific was full of life! On our first trip we saw around 500 Common Dolphin, and some high flying Bottlenose Dolphin that put on a spectacular show. For our second, we estimate we saw roughly 1,400 Common Dolphin, with the most majestic stampede weve ever seen. To cap it off we got a quick glimpse at a Blue Whale! While this animal was a little shy and we only saw a little of it, it seemed like a good sign for the week to come!
