08.16.24 Whale Counts

We were incredibly fortunate today getting to see one of our favorite animals and very close to shore! For both of our trips today we got the pleasure of seeing a juvenile Humpback whale only 2 miles from Mission Bay! This young whale was in the area feeding and decided to take a break from lunch to roll around in the kelp forest and gave us some great looks. Then just 2 miles from there we got to catch up with a large pod of feeding Common Dolphin. It was a day for the books.
