11.09.24 Whale Counts

This morning we had a beautiful trip. The weather and ocean conditions could not be much better, we only made it about 2.5 miles offshore and located 3 Humpbacks traveling together. We had amazing looks at these individuals until we spotted a competition pod 2 miles west of where we were. The competition pod had 7 Humpbacks traveling together… giving us a total of 10 Humpbacks throughout the trip. Since it is Saturday we also had our sunset cruise and were very fortunate to catch up with 2 completely different humpback whales and also over 200 common dolphin combined with a beautiful sunset to end the evening!
