Whale of a day
With two trips scheduled for today we departed promptly at 10 am with high hopes. Upon open ocean we encountered several small pods of common dolphin and mola mola. In the distance a spout was spotted however only the keen eye of the captain caught it. The spout was lost in the light drizzle and completely drab conditions never to be seen again. At 1:30 we departed once again with renewed vigor high hope and expectations. We were rewarded! Six gray whales moving north provided us with great views. Multiple whales on the surface at any time provided the views we deserved. Upon our transit home we found what we were looking for in the AM trip. A feeding humpback surrounded by a multitude of common dolphins. Overall a incredible day aboard the Legacy!
